Our Favorite Porsches On Ebay This Week: Volume 49

We’ve been compiling the best Porsche models on eBay for almost two years now, and we’ve seen some pretty astonishing cars pop up now and again. For the past 18-months we’ve published these every other week. Well, enough of you have spoken up that we’re going to try a weekly format, with two of us picking selections, so check back often. We’ve tracked down five more exciting Porsches for you nice people to purchase today, including a 914 track toy, a Miami Blue beauty, a 993 C4S, a turbo 924, and one of the weirdest Porsche replicas you’ve ever seen. Some of these cars could be great collection investments, while others might prove to do more financial harm than good.

1. Vintage Racer 914-6 For Sale

This is a fun and interesting piece that could join your garage today as a nicely built vintage track toy. The car may have started life as a small-bore four-cylinder car, but has been evolved over the years into a 173 wheel horsepower six-cylinder lightweight racing machine. Safety items have been upgraded recently, and the car should be ready for competition as it sits. The suspension has been seriously upgraded, and the braking is now handled by ATE ‘A’ calipers on the front and ‘M’ calipers on the back. The seller claims that the car is only 1700 pounds with fluids full, which means the 2.3 liter six under the decklid should be more than enough to post quick lap times. Interestingly the car has been converted to right-hand-drive, as to shift more of the weight to the right side, improving right hand corner speed (however marginally), as most tracks in the world have more right hand corners than left handers.

2. Gorgeous Blue 993 Carrera 4S For Sale

We really like unique colors around here, and this Zenith Blue Metallic 993 certainly fits the bill. The Cashmere leather interior works really well with this color, too. If you’re looking for a unique wide-body 993, this might be the one you want. It’s got just 75,000 miles under its belt, and from the photos appears to be in quite good condition. The interior is gorgeously kept, and should keep providing driving excitement for many decades to come if you take care of it as well as it appears to have already been taken care of. What do you say, do you like the color?

3. 1981 Porsche 924 Turbo For Sale

Unlike the 993 above, this 924 has definitely seen better days. The paint is pretty bad, and there are a few small rust spots, but it is a mostly-intact 5-lug 924 Turbo for just seven grand. There are a lot worse ways to spend that kind of money on a car. The 924 is a highly underrated car, and the Turbo is an absolute riot to drive. And if you get bored with it, you can always take an example like this and turn in into a 924 GTR replica and crank up the boost.

4. 2017 Porsche 911 Turbo S For Sale

The new 911 Turbo S features even more power and speed than ever before, and manages to shoot to 60 miles per hour in just 2.8 seconds! That is more than a second quicker than the 996 Turbo, Therefore, this car should be worth supercar money, right? This car is highly-optioned with Burmeister audio and special Miami Blue paintwork. We recently spent some time with a car painted Miami Blue, and it is something we could definitely get used to, it’s just such a pretty color. Toss in a 580 horsepower turbocharged 3.8 liter, and we’re smitten. This one will be expensive, but then again, it really should be.

5. 1987 Porsche 959 Speedster Replica Thing For Sale

What is there to even say about this thing? We’ve seen a few of these replica speedster/959 kits floating around over the years, but this one takes the cake. This monstrosity is Volkswagen-pan based, and the fiberglass Porsche-esque body just sits on top of VW running gear. However, something like this would almost be worth driving around if it had a whole lot of “go” to match the quasi-sporty bodywork. If this car were to feature a 3.3 liter engine and 4-speed transaxle out of a 930, it might just be wacky enough to love. I’d definitely have to lose all of the decals, though. What would you do to this car to make it worthy of your garage?
