Our Favorite Porsches On Ebay This Week: Volume 43

We’ve been compiling the best Porsche models on eBay for about a year and a half now, and we’ve seen some pretty astonishing cars pop up now and again. There is some great new stuff every two weeks, so check back often. We’ve tracked down five more exciting Porsches for you nice people to purchase today, and with spring just around the corner, we thought it’d be a great idea to showcase a few Targa models for you to bid on or purchase. Some of these cars could be great collection investments, while others might prove to do more financial harm than good.

1. 1970 Porsche 911T Targa For Sale

This Porsche is almost exactly as I would want an early long-hood car, if I were in the market for one. The seller claims this 911 is 100% original, including paint, and what a gorgeous coat of paint it is. They also claim this is a two-owner car with only 48,000 miles traveled. The clutch has recently been replaced, and maintenance has been kept up, so this might just be the perfect three-seasons cruiser for you to snatch up just in time for spring.

2. 1992 Porsche 964 Carrera 2 Targa For Sale

If you’re looking for something a little more modern, but still aircooled, and still exceedingly rare, check out this 964 Targa. I don’t know what it is about the 964 chassis that adapts itself so well to chopping a section of the roof out, but this is my favorite iteration of the chassis. Not to mention that beautiful shade of Cobalt Blue. From the photos, this Porsche looks to be in excellent shape, belying the 100k+ miles on the chassis. Aside from the usual 964 tail reflectors and light lenses fading, this 911 was clearly well taken care of by the one owner who bought it new.

3. 1997 Porsche 993 Carrera 2 Targa For Sale

I’m starting to sense a trend here. Blue paint? Check. Aircooled? Check. 911? Check. Targa? Check. Yeah, that ticks all of the boxes.

This is a very low mile Porsche with only 9500 on the odometer. The sellers claim the 911 still has its cosmoline undercoat from shipment. The dark blue outside matches the dark blue inside, and that is one of the best combinations for a 993 if you were to ask me. The 6-figure asking price seems a bit on the high side, but you’ve got to consider the low mileage, the rarity of a Targa, and the inflated market of the 993 as of late. I’m not sure they’ll get what they are asking, but they are the only ones selling a 993 Targa this nice right now. I guess we’ll see.

4. 2015 Porsche 991 Targa 4S ‘White-On-White’ For Sale

In a bout of 80s-style excess, this Porsche is over-the-top to the power of crazy. I can’t say that I’ve ever seen a white leather interior on a 991, but for some reason the throw-back style top of the Targa makes the interior work well in conjunction with the white exterior. As the kids say these days, “All White Everything!” It’s absurd, it’s overt, and it’s ostentatious, and yet I can’t help but love it.

The only thing that would make this better would be if it were a Targa 4 GTS.

5. 1991 Porsche 964 Carrera 2 Targa Rauh-Welt Begriff For Sale

If the Over-The-Top quotient wasn’t quite high enough for you on the last Targa, we’ve got one that will top even that. The wide, riveted-on overfenders that RWB is known for, still seem to work well on a Targa. This particular car, equipped with a ducktail spoiler, looks like it is ready to lay down some lap times. Sure, the big wheels probably make the car slower thanks to higher rotational and unsprung weight, and the wide fenders probably hurt top speed with a big addition to overall drag, but I’ll be darned if it doesn’t look cool.
