We’ve been compiling some amazing Porsche models on eBay for three years now, and we’ve seen some pretty astonishing examples pop up now and again. This week we’re focusing on a of the more affordable variants of Porsche’s lineup over the years. Hopefully you’ve enjoyed our curated look at the Porsche market. Keep in mind, some of these Porsches could be great collection investments, while others might prove to do more financial harm than good.

1. 1975 Porsche 914 1.8-Liter For Sale
As the prices of clean and nice early chrome-bumper 914s continues to rise, people have been migrating toward the later 75 and 76 impact bumper cars, which in turn has driven their prices up, too. This example appears to be quite clean, and is billed as a one-owner, rust-free, low-mile Porsche 914. While the later models are heavier than the 914s that came before, they’re still relatively featherweight in comparison to impact-bumper 911s (or their engine-sharing 912Es), and the mid-engine platform creates a driving experience that is hard to match from anything in this period. This remains one of the least expensive ways to get into an aircooled Porsche, and at under $20,000 you should jump on something like this before they inflate further.

2. 1980 Porsche 924 Turbo For Sale
This Porsche 924 Turbo is a little rough around the edges, but it’s got some potential with a little elbow grease. The seller claims the car has spark and fuel, so it certainly should be able to start up with a bit of effort. It also comes with a pile of extra parts. If you think you have what it takes to get this bad motor back on the road, you could have a pretty sweet and rare Porsche ride in your garage for (hopefully) not much money.

3. 1990 Porsche 944 S2 Cabriolet For Sale
The 944 S2 Cabriolet remains one of the more rare Porsche models that still remains somewhat affordable. With the Turbo model’s bumper treatments and a large trunk lid replacing the traditional hatchback, this may be one of the better looking Porsches of the era, as well. The 3-liter twin-cam engine is a gem that has low-end grunt but still loves to rev out, and the chassis is balanced and provides neutral handling. Cutting the roof off did reduce chassis rigidity, however, so be ready for some cowl flex. With only 50,000 miles on the odometer, this one is still fresh and ready for a lot of miles ahead.

4. 2007 Porsche Cayman S Turbo For Sale
It’s difficult to call a decade old Cayman a bargain when the asking price is nearly as much as a brand new base model, but this one is different. Thanks to a full engine rebuild with LN Engineering cylinder bore sleeves, uprated pistons, and carrillo rods, this Porsche is capable of handling the extra intake manifold pressure of the TPC Stage II turbo kit. The original 3.4 is now a 3.6-Liter with a dyno-proven 435 wheel horsepower. That’s nearly 911 Turbo territory, in a lightweight and more balanced chassis. How fun would that be? It may well be worth the $50K asking price.

5. 2000 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 For Sale
This 996 Carrera 2 has been outfitted with some really interesting modifications, including aerodynamic add ons, a bolt-in roll bar, a sport suspension kit, and an extra-loud exhaust. According to the seller, there are a ton of new parts bolted to this 996, including a recent IMS replacement, making the current bidding price a relative bargain. Whoever does buy this 911, however, should plan to remove the GT3 RS decals immediately or risk getting laughed out of the room. Aside from that, be prepared to hit the track and have a lot of fun.
