When we tested the Cayenne years ago, one of the first things we did was load it up with gear and dogs to see if it would work in the real world for our family. It performed so well we ended up buying one. Now, 5 years later we’re getting ready to replace the Cayenne and we’re thinking about a Macan to take its place. One of my concerns was is it large enough for us? Can it hold our gear and our dogs as it’s even smaller than the Cayenne.
Porsche Macan Luggage Capacity
Our Cayenne has approximately 63 cubic feet of luggage space when the seats are down. This adds up to enough space for one massive dog bed, two large dogs (210 lbs total) and a bunch of gear. On real long trips, when we pack a lot, we end up putting some gear in our Thule rack but that’s simply a function of how big our dogs are. The new Macan offers 53 cubic feet of space and has the same fold flat seats similar to the Cayenne. There’s adequate height in the back cargo area (about 32 inches) when the seats are folded flat for even our Greater Swiss Mountain Dog to sit-up in the back. The only adjustment we’ll probably need to make is putting more of our gear in the Thule roof rack to adjust for the 10 cubic feet less of space. For us, perhaps most importantly, is the Macan’s ability to lower the rear tailgate (with air suspension) in order for our older dog to more easily load up.

Happy to see Scout protecting his ride !
I think it's 53 ft with the seats down, not 63. Wagons like BMW and Volvo would be 43ish, and crossovers like XC60 and X3 are in the 60's.
Oh, misread it. Cayenne is 63. Nevermind;
