A lot of people think that if you’re big or tall than a Porsche 911 isn’t the car for you. It’s simply not the case. While some Porsches models, such as the early generation Boxsters, were a bit cramped for anyone taller than 6 feet, that’s changed drastically over the years.
My husband is 6′ 4″ tall and weighs in at a slim and trim 235 lbs. He fits into the new 911 easily. In fact, the last time we drove one he commented that he actually needed to move the seat forward in order to get the proper driving position. That’s why when I read earlier today that MSN had listed the 911 as one of their picks for the “Big and Tall” I wasn’t that surprised. With headroom of 38.8 inches and legroom of 45.8 inches, it’s significantly more roomy than a Corvette and beats out all other competitors in the legroom category (including the Cadillac Escalade).

My big and tall self fits a lot better in a 991 than my 996 however my 996 fits my small and short wallet much better than a new 991...oh boohoo... ;-)
Chuck, :-)
Funny. This post shouldn't have even published. It wasn't finished. See what happens when the movers force you to shut down your system so they can box it up. :-)
I fit better in my '73 911 than I do in my '97 993. No center console makes all the difference. However, the 991 is just massive. Fortunately, you could never tell that from driving it...
I am 5'11'' and weigh about 350. I fit just fine in 2000 Boxster S I had, but I fit even better in my 2007 Carrera. I, too, must move the seat forward of the rearmost position. In general, I find the car to be plenty big enough for me while never making me feel cramped.
