What Do You Think of the Porsche Boxster S “Red 7”?

You might like it, but if you live in the US, it’s not for you. Unveiled last week by Pon Porsche Import of the Netherlands this special edition Porsche Boxster S was created by Porsche Exclusive for the Dutch market only. Just seven examples will be created making the name “Red 7” apropos.

The Porsche Boxster S Red 7 features a Guards Red color combo contrasted with matte hue platnimum satin accents. The exterior colors carry across the entire Porsche including the wheels, doors, air inlets. The interior matches with red stitching, seat belts, dials and specialized cup holder. Even the key case is specially made just for the Boxster S Red 7.

Porsche Exclusive ensured that the interior does actually match the scheme on the exterior as they incorporated black leather upholstery finished with red stitching. The guard red scheme was utilized on the seat belts and dials; the cup holder was personally built for 7 logo, alongside the key holder which comes in Indian red, black leather case and red stitching.

Each of the seven Porsche will come with a matching car cover and a coffee table book that documents the production process. If you live in the Netherlands, and you want one, it can be yours for a price of € 119,935 including the VAT.

Would You Buy One?

I don’t know about you, but I like the color combo. It kind of reminds me of a GT2. Putting price aside (you can’t do a direct conversion as that’s not how Porsche prices their cars) would you buy one of these if they were available in the US?

    • You don't like the new Boxster in general, or just this color combo? I'm thinking Ferry wouldn't be rolling in his grave due to color combos... :-)

I love it, but then I am partial to Guard Red Porsches. I especially love the two tone canvas cover.

  • As beauty is in the eye of the beholder picture 6, for me, is the most attractive, and no I would not acquire one.

  • Pretty but does all the fancy stitching and colour coding add to the WEAK warranty of the car ?

  • I would buy one no matter if people think it's nice looking or ugly. The bottom line is there is only 7 made which makes the car a collectable and it would sit in the garage increasing in value until somebody offered my a ton of money for it. This is what Porsche likes to do, make exclusives so they become collectables.

  • It looked ugly at first, but once I saw the gray rear trunk, it became disgusting. Just release their Livery paint vinyls and be done with it.
