Jeep Wrangler vs. Porsche Cayenne Turbo Hill Climb, Rock Crawing & Mud Pits

A few weeks ago, the crew over at Spectro Racing had one of their subscribers join them for an off-roading trek in his 2004 Porsche Cayenne Turbo. While the Cayenne in question is mostly stock (it does wear some beefier BF Goodrich shoes) it does take full advantage of the air suspension and its ability to modulate ride height a considerable distance. While the original video, below, did quite well in terms of views, you couldn’t really call it “off roading”.

In fact, so many youtube users called out Spectro on their definition of “off roading” that they agreed to take “Sea Beef” (that’s the Cayenne’s plate/name) to a more rugged terrain park along with a local jeep club. The result of that outing is below.

Chance are you’ll never use your Cayenne as they do in these videos. But it’s nice to know you could if you wanted to. As you can see, the Cayenne is actually quite a capable off-roader. In fact, for those of you that have been off-roading before you’ll most likely note that this particular Cayenne could have done a much better job with almost all the obstacles had a more experienced driver been behind the wheel. The hill-climb, for sure, could have been completed with the proper throttle modulation and some of the mud pits, while traversed, would have been done so even easier with a spotter.
