We’ve been publishing reader submitted pictures in our newsletter for months now. Usually, the pictures, while beautiful, aren’t necessarily worthy of a post on their own. The set of pictures below is different, however. The first one we saw is below. If you look closely you can see the tow rope between the Cayenne and the tractor. Here’s the story our reader, Tom K, told us.
Tom and company were at their cottage on the shore of Lake Huron to launch their jet skis.
While using his John Deere to back the jet skis out into deep enough water to float them, a rogue wave of sorts came along and swamped the tractor’s engine. Now he had a tractor in the lake with a locked up engine and no easy way to get it out.
After giving it just a bit of thought Tom decided he had the perfect tow vehicle, his 2004 Cayenne S. With the help of those already in the water, Tom took his Cayenne into the waters of Lake Huron and hooked up the tractor. He told us his neighbors “thought I was nuts for taking the Cayenne into the lake after having the tractor breakdown.” I have to say I agree with them.
As it turns out, a tractor with a swamped engine stuck in Lake Huron is no match for the towing capabilities of a determined Cayenne S and owner. Nice job, Tom!

That would be a rogue wave, not a rouge wave. Great story.
Perhaps it was red in color? :-) Thanks for the editing help!
