Porsche Executes A Voluntary Safety Recall on Nearly 410,000 Cayennes Worldwide

If you own a 2011 to 2016 Porsche Cayenne you’re going to want to read this. Today, Porsche announced a voluntary safety recall on 409,477 Cayennes worldwide. If your Cayenne is affected there is a possibility a clip has become dislodged from the pedal bracket.

Porsche says they are implementing the voluntary recall to inspect all 2011 to 2016 Cayenne vehicles to ensure the clip is present and to re-install it if necessary. The problem was identified during internal inspections and remedied in production. Porsche goes on to say this it “is a purely precautionary measure, as there have been no reports of accidents or injuries as a result of this concern.” Vehicle owners will be contacted directly by the Porsche dealer responsible for them. A workshop appointment that will be free of charge will be arranged as quickly as possible and will take less than half an hour.
