Look Who Just Joined Dubai’s Famous Exotic And Luxury Police Car Fleet

The Police Force in Dubai is known amongst auto enthusiasts for its incredible collection of exotic & luxury vehicles. What started with the acquisition of a single Lamborghini Aventador quickly grew into what just might be the largest fleet of exotic police cars in the world. How exotic? According to the information we’ve found, the following list of supercars, exotics and luxury vehicles are all adorned with Dubai’s white and green police livery:

  • Aston Martin One-774
  • Audi R8
  • Bentley Continental GT
  • BMW i8
  • BMW M6 Gran Coupe
  • Bugatti Veyron (two of these)
  • Chevrolet Camaro SS (seems a bit out of place)
  • Ferrari FF
  • Ford Mustang Roush
  • Hummer H3
  • Lamborghini Aventador
  • Lexus GS 350
  • Lexus RC F
  • McLaren MP4-12C
  • Mercedes G-Wagon Brabus
  • Mercedes-Benz SL63 (AMG)
  • Nissan GTR

What’s more, Dubai has become exceedingly proficient at promoting their mulit-million dollar fleet. The video below, with all the production quality of the “Fast & Furious” franchise was released earlier this year to great acclaim.

Where Are The Porsches?

Conspicuously missing from the above list is any mention of Porsche. That changed today when the video below was posted to the Dubai Police Force’s Instagram account. [The video is set to automatically loop. To make it stop, simply click the video a second time]

If you can’t tell from the short clip above, those are three Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrids. While we would still like to see a 911 variant make its way into the fleet, its nice to see our favorite marque finally being represented. In case you think these exotics are used to discourage speeders or for high-speed pursuits, think again. The Dubai Police Force has always marketed their cars as a way to promote their image and to encourage interaction with the public. More often than not, the cars in this fleet can be found patrolling popular tourist areas vs. crime scenes or routine patrol work.
