Acura NSX vs. Audi R8 V10 Plus vs. Porsche 911 Turbo

You almost have to feel bad for the new NSX. Its legendary predecessor gave the new car a lot to live up to. While the original NSX was radical for being an accessible supercar, the new car is very bleeding edge. The car hits a technological benchmark otherwise occupied by hypercars, though the  performance is less stratospheric. In Motor Trend’s Best Driver’s Car competition it barely edged out the 991 Carrera S’s lap time at Willow Springs. Now, Steve Sutcliffe of Auto Express (formerly of Evo), brought the NSX, R8 V10 and a Porsche 911 Turbo to their test track to find out how the new NSX stacks up against the competition on a vastly different circuit.

While we are unabashed Porsche fans, it’s our whole raison d’etre after all, we know that it takes deft competition to keep the 911 at the top of its game. Competitors like the NSX and Audi R8 are invaluable when it comes to pushing Porsche to keep making the best possible sports cars.

Acura and Audi both brought their A-game, but Porsche didn’t even send the Turbo S. Watch the video to see how that pans out.
