We first met Chris and the crew at USP Motorsports when we had our Cayenne serviced at his shop a few years ago during our annual winter pilgrimage to Florida. After a quick look around the showroom you could see USP had some serious tuning chops. Then, we were given a tour of the shop and spied their 996 GT2 up on the lift. We knew our Cayenne was in good hands.
Fast forward to today and while Chris and team will still happily service our Cayenne their real passion, and true expertise, is in making cars quicker, especially Porsches. Since our last visit they’ve been continuously working on their 996 GT2. And late last month all their hard work paid off.

On November 23rd, 2013 the team made their way to Bradenton, Florida for FixxFest 10 (the biggest Euro tuning event in the Southeast, US) and proceeded to tear up the track and set a new World Record with the USP Motorsport 996 GT2. Piloted by USP owner Chris Green, the USP Porsche ran the world’s “quickest” and “fastest” 1/4 mile for a 996 with a time of 9.46 seconds at 156.87 mph. Watch the record setting run above.
