Is SC short for “Safari Car?”

If only we had a true build-sheet for this car. We’ve posted this 911 before, and the previous YouTube posting described the car as stock. Closer inspection reveals that the car has been lifted slightly, the door panels removed and a roll hoop fitted. In any case, this 911 looks much less modified than Leh Keen’s Safari 911s. While the 911’s versatility is a large part of its appeal, Dune Buggy is likely not on most people’s list of potential uses.

While Porsches are no strangers to the desert sands, it’s pretty rare for private owners to subject their cars to the harsh environment like this 911 owner does.
