It’s pretty much de rigueur these days to document the build of a new RAUH-Welt Begriff Porsche. When Akira Nakia-san comes to town, the cameras come out in abundance. As the number of Porsches he’s touched continues to grow, so does the library of build documentaries. However, not all documentaries are created equal.
Chris Petruccio and Anthony Purcell, the filmmakers responsible for the 20-minute short above, are no strangers to documenting RWB builds. Their 20-minute film on Ben Harmony’s RWB build named “Prince” was nominated for “Best Documentary” by The London Motor Film Festival. This newest production fuses Chris and Athony’s unparalelled production qualities with Akira Nakia’s ability to build each RWB almost completely freehand (he doesn’t measure much, it’s mostly just by feel, look and experience). The finished product, the newest RWB “Fighting Night” is just gorgeous in my opinion.
However, we know not all of you are fans of the RWB movement, but you can’t help but admire the quality of Nakia-san’s work and the work that obviously went into the shooting and editing of this video. According to the filmmakers, for those that are interested, you can look forward to some behind-the-scenes videos on their YouTube channel over the coming weeks that how and why they got the shots they did.
