Thief Gets 30 Years Behind Bars For Stealing Porsche

Remember Jeffery Todd Crystal? He’s the guy we told you about that took a Porsche for a 2200 mile “test drive”. The 53-year-old grifter drove away from a Florida dealership in June of 2011 after paying for a Panamera with a $109,000 bad check. Now, more than 3 years later he’s getting his due.

The Sentence

Last Monday, Judge William Stone of Fort Walton Beach sentenced Todd to 30 years in prison after being convicted of grand theft over $100,000.

If the penalty seems harsh to you, think again. Crystal’s record dates back to the early ’80s and he was allegedly on felony probation for fraud and theft. Apparently he did the same thing, for another Porsche, back in 2004.
