As I start to spend more time in the online forums dedicated to high-end sports cars and the “luxury lifestyle” (such as Rennlist, TeamSpeed, etc.) I’ve started to see what might be a disturbing trend. It would seem that, taken at face value, a great number of Porsche owners also collect watches, guns and bourbon. The funny scary thing is, those DO happen to be three things, outside of Porsche, that John is quite passionate about. What about you?
Do you have other passions beyond Porsche? If so, what are they? I can’t believe that all of you/us have the same likes and hobbies. We can’t be that easy, as a demographic, to be put into a marketing box now can we? I happen to like John’s interest in watches and have grown to enjoy trying different bourbons (the guns, I could do without) but I’m thinking there must be other interest than that? What happened to things like collecting stamps and coins? Baseball cards anyone? Do they even still make baseball cards?
Seriously, help me out. Tell me you collect or have interest in things beyond watches, guns and bourbon (and don’t say RC cars). I’m hoping if we find the right thing that I can transfer the gun hobby to another addiction interest. 🙂

That's funny... I was going to say pinball machines too! (esp. 1990's and newer Dot Matrix games) I also collect cufflinks, jukeboxes, and pool cues amongst many other things.
I am learning ballroom dancing.
Sailing for me. Even above cars - it's what I like to do the most. Living on the south coast of England, we're perfectly located.
Usually it's dinghy racing but I'm just happy to be on the water. Can't beat it. :)
Motor-racing, sailing (I have a Beneteau in Singapore), I collect Omega watches and am partial to the occasional single malt scotch. No guns though, I'm interested in them but have never lived in a place where guns were legal / socially acceptable.

Besides fishing & golf, I've built 35 1:24 scale model Porsche 956 & 962's. I'd build more, but ran ot of decal sources, & shelf space!!!
For me it's small sailboats. I visit the marina in early spring to see what kind of "bargain" I can pick up and bring home to the camp to add to the flotilla. Latest is an old sunfish. But rather than give up my gun collection, you've given me a great idea.... what would an old sunfish look like with a 50 caliber machine gun mounted on the bow? I bet those stink-pot boaters would think twice before swamping me with their wake.
