If you were ever looking at getting a Porsche Taycan and thought, “Well, how does it do toe-to-toe in a monster truck race?,” you have to wait no longer. Because the video in this story explains just that.
You see, the concept is simple. Monster Jam driver Linsey Read would take a monster truck out on the dirt arena at NRG Stadium in Houston and square off against Porsche racer Leh Keen. Then, there’d be a camera crew to film the entire thing.
Porsche does point out that both of these vehicles have four-wheel drive, and both do have four-wheel steering. They also have similar power-to-weight ratios and similar performance off the line.
But really, it was to have a bit of fun showing off how capable the Cross Turismo Taycans actually are. Plus, there couldn’t be a monster truck video without a shot of the Monster Jam truck jumping the Taycan, could there? Yes, that’s even included.
And we thought we had the best jobs.
