Have you ever walked out to where you parked your car the night before and it simply wasn’t there? Have you ever experienced the panic of a missing Porsche? If so, I don’t envy you. The worst I’ve personally experienced is a 944 with a snapped parking brake rolling about 20 feet away from where I parked it and thankfully hitting a curb and not doing any damage to itself or anyone else. My friend Kevin had a stolen Porsche experience a few years ago when he rented a 987 Cayman on Turo and it wasn’t where he parked it the next morning. Here is the really weird and totally unexplained story.
Cast your mind back to Luftgekuhlt 3. It was a great event, here’s our coverage of it.
I can’t imagine a scenario where I would be the cool customer that Kevin was when his Cayman was taken out from under him. It wasn’t exactly stolen, and it wasn’t exactly missing, it was just… gone.
It’s a fun story that doesn’t really have an understandable ending. I’ve heard little pieces of the story, but never the whole thing. It sounds like an absolute nightmare.
Kevin is a life-long Porsche enthusiast with a really cool Martini-striped G-series 911, and his YouTube channel is worth checking out. Give him a subscribe, he’s got some great stories to tell.

Sounds like a repo, either from the finance company or from the actual owner that "Valentino" got it from. Divorce, perhaps.
