It was slightly more than a year ago that plans were announced to open the only Porsche Experience Center in France at Le Mans. Last Friday, a little over a year since the announcement and just prior to the official start of the 24 Hour race, Porsche France celebrated the official opening of the Porsche Experience Center Le Mans. Located on the 2.9 kilometer racetrack “Circuit Maison Blanche” it offers both customers and all other Porsche enthusiasts an exclusive brand experience.
Similar to the new PEC at One Porsche Drive, the PEC at Le Mans offers visitors the opportunity to experience any of the current Porsche models on the test circuit and a road track to learn how to use the full potential of their Porsches.
“With our new model range including sports cars like the 911 GT3 RS, the Cayman GT4 and the Boxster Spyder, we offer extremely sporty products on the market”, said Bernhard Maier, Member of the Executive Board Sales and Marketing at Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG. “Being able to offer our customers an authentic brand experience at this location is a unique opportunity and makes the Experience Center even more special.”
In addition to the adapted version of the White House circuit (a 2.9km layout using part of the Le Mans 24-hour track), where customers can drive Porsches, the new PEC contains the following:
- function venues and a restaurant
- a reception area for all the events at the circuit, in particular the 24 Hours of Le Mans, including an area with a view overlooking the track
- a dedicated driving training center
- a permanent exhibition of current and classic Porsche vehicles
- a Porsche Service Center
- a “Porsche Exclusive” custom tailoring area
- a Driver’s Selection by Porsche Design shop
In addition to the above, all customers ordering a Porsche have the opportunity to take part in the “Porsche Experience Program”. This is a half-day training session at the PEC designed to introduce drivers with the special features and equipment of their personal Porsche. Lastly, customers can opt to take delivery of their new Porsche right on site. This way they can literally hit the ground running and on the track.
