By now, just about everyone here in the U.S. knows that Wednesday night’s lottery jackpot is estimated to be around $1.4 billion! Yes, that’s BILLION with a “B”. Assuming someone wins this time (the statistics I’ve read say you have a better chance of winning this year’s Daytona 24 driving an all original 912 than you do of winning the jackpot) they’ll have the option of taking home a lump sum cash payment of $868 million before taxes. $868 million! Here in the “Republic” of Massachusetts, after taxes, you would still be left with more than $430 million. Even someone with the biggest of entourages would have trouble blowing through all that. So, if you had pretty much unlimited funds, which Porsches would you buy to fill your dream garage?
In no particular order, here’s my list:
- RWB 964
- 904
- 917 – specifically the “Pink Pig”, maybe I can make the museum and offer they can’t refuse
- 968 Cabriolet
- 993 Turbo S
- 991.2 Turbo S cabriolet (daily driver)
- Cayenne GTS and/or Macan Turbo (dog hauler)
- 356 Speedster
- 959
- 356 pre-A
- 914 Creamsicle & Bumblebee
- #277 – if I can’t convince Magnus to sell it, I’ll see about having him make me one
- 918
- 997 GT3
- RS 60
- 962
- Type 953 Safari
- ’73 2.7 ST
- Singer 911
- Panamera 4S (winter vehicle and when I need a little extra room)
- 928 GTS – manual transmission
- 944 Turbo
I’m sure there are many more, but this would be a good start! Let us know your list in the comments below.

Singer
The company or a single car? We're talking $1.4 billion! It's good to meet someone with simple needs. :-)
Thanks for reading and responding!
No desire to own the company, just the car. New Targa probably. I think this is all I would need to finally find peace.
Got to agree with a Singer in the new and very large garage I'd build. Probably have a 356 outlaw, a 996 Turbo, Boxster Spyder and Boxster 550 commemorative edition. Something to race like a GT3. Isn't fun to dream?
Gotta have a 550 spyder on the list... might take a while to find a real one for sale though. Also need to have a Carrera GT on there.
First of all . I have 2, 1987 930 / 1980 911 and would buy 2 more .Panamera,Macan,GT3
Yee Haw ..I' m RICH
356 4 cam / GT3rs4.0 for track / Singer 911 for Shows / Porsche Tractor ..Cut the grass at new estate / 935 for Historics ;Vintage / New Boxster S for Guests at estate / Cayenne Turbo ( just because ) / 928 GTS to round out collection
More likely ..got to get back to work ; reality =(
and keep current 951/ 914 - 2.4-4 /Cayenne S and 996TT
all those cars deserve a place in a Billionaire's garage. I would add the street version of a GT1.
Totally agree. Certainly first of the list!!!!!!
914-6
Porsche 930
GT1 is the correct call.
Frank, I thought you already had a couple. :-) Good to hear from you!
At least one of each.
