This past week Speed.com’s John Dagys broke the story of the impending merger between American Le Mans Series (ALMS) and Grand-Am to create a unified North American sport car racing enterprise. The official announcement of the merger is expected this coming Wednesday. In the mean time our friends over at drive have put together a two-part video that shows what went into producing last week’s ALMS race in Baltimore (specifically some of the problems with the track) and then Leo Parente interviews John Dagys about the story and his feelings as to how this impacts motorsport fans in general. Grand Am was ALMS (IMSA) back in the day. good we get to see cool cars
at the 24hr of Daytona, and Sebring. that means I have to request a get away
for the 24hr weekend from my boss (WIFEEE)
