As the Porsche world waits for the new LMP1 Porsche to make its debut some time in 2013, Porsche today announced they will field two 911 RSRs run by a factory works team.
As a “works” team, this will be the first factory team Porsche has fielded at Le Mans since their overall victory in 1998. Racing in the GTE category the two new 911 RSRs will be run by Porsche AG Team Manthey. Olaf Manthey, who has five overall wins with Porsche at the Nürburgring 24 hour race, will act in the role of team manager.
