Porsche Cars Canada reported their best July results ever, today. With monthly sales of 793 Porsches, that brings their yearly total to 4,792 – a4.7% increase over the same period last year – through July of 2018.
Interestingly, what the press release doesn’t say, but the chart clearly shows, is that every single model line other than the Caymand and Macan decreased as compared to last year. However, sales of the Macan were more than enough to make up the difference.
“Further to Porsche achieving a record sales month, it was announced in July that the brand as well as the other brands in Volkswagen Group Canada, Inc., have formed Electrify Canada – a new company that will build an ultra-fast electric vehicle (EV) direct current (DC) charging network across the country,” said Marc Ouayoun, President & CEO, Porsche Cars Canada, Ltd. “This decision emphasizes our dedication toward increasing the EV charging infrastructure nationally, supports our current plug-in hybrid model offerings, and also points to the future with our highly-anticipated, fully electric model – Taycan.”
