Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA) today announced July 2014 sales of 4,300 vehicles. During the first seven months of 2014, PCNA has delivered 27,219 vehicles in the U.S., an increase of 8.3% over last year (25,129).
July was noteworthy for a number of reasons aside from setting another monthly sales record.
“We just announced the arrival of the new generation of our Cayenne range this fall, including the first plug-in hybrid in the premium SUV segment”, said Detlev von Platen, President and CEO, Porsche Cars North America. “So it is gratifying to recognize that the current Cayenne hasn’t lost its appeal and keeps up its sales momentum.”
Deliveries of 1,546 Cayenne SUVs in July were on par with last year’s sales of 1,563. The Macan recorded July sales of 952 and has reached a share of over ten% of the year’s total sales volume in only its third month on the market. Finally, the limited edition super sports car 918 Spyder was delivered to the very first U.S. customers with the numbers expected to increase over the coming months.
Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned vehicle sales in the U.S. were 996 for July 2014, an increase of 23% from the same period last year.

So a big hug for Macan and Panamera??
Definitely the Macan. :-) Panamera was down from last year. Did you notice 918 number? We're looking forward to world-wide totals to see what delivery looks like by the end of the summer.
