Update December 6, 2011: You voted, Porsche listened. The 917 K featuring the red and white Porsche Salzburg livery was the clear winner. This special Porsche is currently being prepared with a new livery showcasing the profile pictures of all those who took part in voting. The car should be on display in the Porsche Museum some time in January, 2012.
When Porsche reached 1,000,000 fans on facebook they celebrated by creating a car covered with the names of nearly 27,000 fans. If you were one of the lucky ones, you name is now memorialized on a beautiful Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid that lives in the Porsche Museum.
Just recently, Porsche reached 2,000,000 fans. To celebrate, they plan on creating a “very special car for their fans that will be displayed in the Porsche Museum”. They want your help choosing that special car. Simply visit the Porsche facebook page and vote on one of three historic 917 liveries.
