Porsche Ranks Highest Among Nameplates in J.D. Power ‘APEAL’ Study for Ninth Consecutive Year

For the ninth year in a row, U.S. customers have rated Porsche highest among all other manufacturers in the industry in the (Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout) Study. The study measures the attitudes of more than 80,000 U.S. customers who purchased or leased a new model-year 2013 vehicle between November of 2012 and February of 2013. The questions are designed to evaluate ten categories of performance and design including: exterior and interior styling, storage and space, audio/communication/entertainment/navigation (ACEN), seats, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), driving dynamics, engine/transmission, visibility and safety, and fuel economy.

Porsche earned a total of 884 points on the 1,000-point scale. This compares an average of 844 for other marques in the premium category. The overall industry average was 795.
