Porsche Sold 11,688 Vehicles in October!

Year to date, Porsche has delivered a total of 116,050 cars. This represents an increase of 15.6% as compared to the same time-frame of last year. For the month of October, sales of 11,688 Porsches were equal to a 24.1% growth over the same month last year.

Strong Year-End Business Prospects

With two months remaining in the calendar year, Porsche is on track to hit record numbers. With more than 116,000 Porsches sold already this year, Porsche has nearly reached their total sales volume from 2011.

“Strong sales in the Americas and in Asia in October more than compensated for the purchasing reluctance in Europe,” Bernhard Maier, Member of the Executive Board Sales and Marketing at Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, explains: “We have thus delivered nearly as many vehicles as in the entire previous year in a mere ten months. We are thus expecting strong year-end business.”

The best seller among the Porsche models continues to be the Cayenne. In October alone, Porsche sold 6,897 SUVs for an increase of 34.2 percent over last year. While Porsches strongest markets are again the US and China. 2,439 vehicles were delivered to customers in China – an increase of 57.8 percent compared to October 2011. In the U.S., Porsche delivered 3,211 vehicles to customers, amounting to an increase of 41.5 percent compared to the same month last year.
