Porsche teams up with Goodr to feed families impacted by COVID-19

Porsche has facilities in Los Angeles, California and Atlanta, Georgia, and it knows that the surrounding communities are extremely important to its success. This week Porsche announced it would be again partnering with Atlanta-based social impact startup Goodr to help feed 1,000 families in those communities facing hardship as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic. Starting Today, and again on Friday the 17th in Atlanta at the company’s headquarters dubbed One Porsche Drive, followed by events on Sept. 20 and 27th at the Porsche Experience Center LA, half-day drive-through grocery events will be facilitated.

“Goodr’s dedication to solving hunger and allowing all to dine with dignity is commendable and worth all of our support. Throughout the pandemic, Goodr has worked tirelessly to feed those in need. Porsche is proud to collaborate with such a worthy organization again to support families in our local communities,” said Kjell Gruner, President and CEO of PCNA.

“I am thrilled to continue working alongside the incredible Porsche team to aid families who are still impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. This partnership provides access to fresh food to one thousand families and helps bridge the hunger gap for so many,” said Jasmine Crowe, Founder & CEO of Goodr Inc.

Each of the four pop-up events is intended to provide 250 families with up to two weeks’ worth of groceries, each package containing 20 pounds of fresh produce, meat, and shelf-stable foods. Hundreds of thousands of Americans were severely impacted financially by the pandemic that continues to rage, and Porsche wants to do a small part to give back to the communities that have allowed it to thrive through these rough conditions. If your family — or a family you know — needs help, registration for Atlanta events can be found here, while the events in Los Angeles can pre-register here. Porsche and Goodr requests that everyone participating follow CDC guidelines and wear face coverings in line.

It’s nice to see companies stepping up to help the community, and I hope more large international corporations follow in these footsteps, because there are still so many of our fellow Americans suffering at the hand of a horrifying disease. Porsche is doing their part, perhaps you can, too. If you want to step up and get involved, please consider donating or volunteering with your local food bank. On behalf of everyone here at FlatSixes, please reach out a helping hand and give to those who still need.
