Unlike other RC cars, the Silverlit Interactive Bluetooth R/C is controlled via you IPod Touch, Iphone or Ipad. You simply download a free app from Apple.com, turn on the car, connect and you’re ready to go.
Controlling the RC Porsche is done via either gesture (using the interface above), simply move your iPhone, iPad, or iTouch and the car will follow or, via a more standard interface that mimics a controller that most RC users will be familiar with (that’s it below).
In addition to controlling the movement of the car, the app allows you to control the hazard light, blinkers, horn, etc. There’s even motor and tire sounds that play through your handheld device.
We won’t know quite how well the Porsche works until we can try it for ourselves, but at $68 bucks it seems reasonably priced for a cool Porsche tech toy. It’s available for sale on Amazon.com
