Step By Step Directions To Clean Winter Salt Stains From Your Porsche’s Floor Mats

  1. Take mat our of car
  2. Vacuum the mat quickly to remove lose debris. Beat it or use a brush to loosen as much debris/salt as possible
  3. Create cleaning solution by mixing warm water with household white vinegar. Use a 50/50 ratio and add to empty/clean spray bottle.
  4. Spray solution onto stains
  5. Scrub and then blot the carpet to pick up dissolved salts and vinegar
  6. Use a Wet/Dry vac (not a house hold vacuum) to clean out remaining salts and leftover solution
  7. Give a spray with carpet cleaner (be sure to test an area if you haven’t used the product before) and wipe dry with a clean towel
  8. Leave the mat out of the vehicle overnight and up to 48 hours to ensure all remaining vinegar smells have dissipated
