Matt Farah Takes A Porsche ‘997.2’ GT3 For A Drive And Loves It

Matt describes the GT3 as “about the limit of racecar for the street”, because anything more hardcore is something you don’t want to drive everyday, and to me that makes perfect sense. The GT3 is the sweet-spot of street-ability, and is legitimately a car that you can drive to the grocery store, or spend a few hours in on a highway run, and still be perfectly comfortable.

Matt has notably been looking at Porsches lately to fill a space in his garage, and has fallen in love with Mezger engines and 997 body shapes. This one-take could almost be considered a test-drive for Matt, then.

This particular 997.2 GT3 is nearly stock, though there have been some interior updates, and the centerlock wheels have been fitted with a nice set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. Everything about this car screams that it is ready for an afternoon apex hunting in the canyons, and I, for one, would love to take it on a hunting trip!
