Our Favorite Porsches For Sale On Ebay This Week: Volume 38

We’ve been compiling the best Porsche models on eBay for over a year now, and we’ve seen some pretty astonishing cars pop up now and again. There is some great new stuff every two weeks, so check back often. We’ve tracked down five more exciting Porsches for you nice people to purchase today, including a driver-condition early-issue 912, a factory slant-nose Turbo, a pair of collector-grade 944s, and one of the rarest 993s to ever exist. Some of these cars could be great collection investments, while others might prove to do more financial harm than good.

1. 1997 Porsche 911 Carrera S (Vesuvio Metallic W/ Aerokit) For Sale

This car has a lot going for it. It has gorgeous Vesuvio Metallic paint, which can look grey, blue, or even a bit purple, depending on the lighting. It has the factory-installed Aerokit Turbo II front and rear spoilers. It has classic grey leather interior. It has the ‘motor sound package’. It’s only been driven 33,000 miles. So why is it still for sale? Well… This 993 is unfortunately fitted with the less than timeless wood interior package. It was factory fitted with the ill-shifting tiptronic automatic. And while it’s still in good shape, the car has mis-matched tires, which for me is always a red flag. Does this float your boat? If so, go check it out!

2. 1986 Porsche 944 CASC Rothmans Cup Car For Sale

This is a very interesting listing, as this will likely be the least expensive Porsche factory-built racing car you’ll ever come across. This car was built with racing in mind for the 1986 season of 944 Cup in Canada. While this car did not achieve many major results in its time in Canada, due mostly to the fact that the car was run by an amateur racer against some of the best racing drivers North America had to offer at the time, the car’s second life in the US was a bit more prosperous. PCA racer Joe Hrymack bought the car and sorted it out completely for 944 Cup racing here, where it found itself winning more frequently. Unfortunately the car has not been run since 2011 when Hrymack passed away. There was a subsequent “mishap” with the engine, and everything is now in pieces waiting to be reassembled. For potentially under 10 grand (reserve not yet met), though, this is a Porsche-built racer that shouldn’t be passed up.

3. Collector Grade Low-Mile 1990 944 S2 Cabriolet For Sale

I’m a simple man with simple pleasures. As such, I think the 944 S2 Cabriolet might be the Porsche I love most. I love 944s. I love Convertibles. What’s not to love about this one? I even love the 80s-tastic Grey Linen Metallic paint. When new, this car had a sticker price of just over fifty-six thousand dollars (inflation adjusted to over $100,000 in 2015), and someone was evidently quite proud of their purchase, as they kept it absolutely perfect. With only a few thousand of these made over the 3 years they were available, the S2 Cabriolet is a pretty rare bird. As we’ve seen recently, anything with a Porsche badge is appreciating in value like crazy, and this 944 seems to be no exception. The asking price for this lovely beauty is a whopping $31,000, which many will balk at. If you look at completed sales histories on S2s, however, you’ll see many of them already selling in the low-to-mid twenty thousand dollar range, and none of them are quite this nice, or have so few miles (Only 12,000 on the odometer). Is it worth 30 grand? Well, it’s worth what someone will pay for it, I suppose. What’s it worth to you? There was a time when a $30,000 early 912 was considered absurd.

4. 1987 Porsche 911 Turbo Slant Nose Coupe For Sale

A 24K mile Porsche 930 is becoming a rare commodity, and when you add in that this one is a factory slant-nose equipped car, you’ve got a recipe for a bidding war. Gorgeous two-tone interior leather, immaculate white paint on the outside, and original everything else, this car seems to be exactly as it was when it left the factory nearly 30 years ago. How can you argue with a 930S steering wheel? The Buy-It-Now price of 235 grand is a bit above my pay grade, but I’ll be damned if it doesn’t look worth every penny in those photos. If you’re in the market for a collector grade slant-nose to add to your collection, maybe give this one a second glance.

5. Early Production 1965 Porsche 912 Polo Red Coupe For Sale

I think I like 912s almost as much as I like 944s, and this one just looks the absolute business. I could see myself cruising down some coastal highway with the windows down and the radio off, just listening the the chug and pop of that lovely Porsche four-cylinder. This car is a relatively early production 1965 model, of which there are only a few still driving around. The car doesn’t look 100% factory perfect, but it looks good enough to take driving every now and again without worries. This is a driver’s car, and one that both wants and deserves to be driven. This is a very rare 5-speed painted dash car (that has since been sadly painted over) with original 14″ Fuchs wheels and a low chassis number, which means its value is increased, but that shouldn’t deter anyone who buys this car from driving it. This 912 has traveled only 85,000 miles, and if it were mine, I’d double that number in just a couple years. The Buy-It-Now price is $56,300, which a few short years ago would have been insane. These days, though, that seems priced just about perfectly for what you’re getting.
