Check Out This Custom Bike Trailer Rod Emory Built for his 356

Remember those electric bikes we introduced you to this spring, the “Emory Outlaw Tracker”? If you missed the original post, here’s the TL;DR version. Rod teamed up with Vintage Electric to create an electric bike with his signature custom touches and it’s pretty cool. Read the original post or watch the video below if you want to know more. Otherwise, keep reading for more about his custom trailer.

Now, Rod has taken things to the next level and he built a trailer specifically to tow 2 bikes, including an Emory Outlaw Tracker, nearly 1,000 miles to take part in his own Emory Porsche Campout. He was teasing it on Instagram, starting with this custom hitch he built for his ’55 356.

As the project came together we were treated to just a few more teaser shots of the work in progress. From what we can see, besides the custom aluminum frame and 356 looking fenders, the trailer uses racks from 1up USA to secure the bikes themselves (we have one fitted to our Cayenne and can’t recommend them enough).

With luggage on top and the new trailer in tow, Rod set off from California to Oregon.

I think, more than anything, what I like best about this trailer is how it carries/tows another custom trailer that Rod can rig to his electric bike.

It’s like the Russian nesting doll of trailers. Talk about utility.
