In a Porsche, every trip has something special, because the vehicle itself is a good traveling companion. When the journey ends in Oregon with a few hundred of your new best friends, however, the destination takes precedence. For those of us who couldn’t go to Rod Emory’s Porsche Campout, this 13-minute video shows what the event was all about. We definitely need to make the pilgrimage in the future.
What the video illustrates better than most of the pictures we’ve seen is the diversity of this event. Sure, the beautiful location, and wonderful Porsches have been well documented. Where else are you going to see VW Caddys rubbing elbows with Emory Outlaws, 911s, and 550 Spyder-style specials?

We may be on the wrong coast, this event looks well worth the trip. Though the last Emory Campout was in 2012, hopefully we don’t need to wait five years for the next one.
