Last week our friends over at Drive published a little teaser of Chris Harris driving a Singer 911. Today we learned what that teaser was all about.
The following video is nearly 30 minutes long and is in reality, a documentary. Chris and crew get a chance to not only drive a Singer 911 they spent considerable time touring the factory and interviewing Rob Dickinson, the man behind the Singer, and showing us just exactly what goes into the building of a Singer 911. True Porsche junkies will love the whole thing. However, if you just want to watch and hear the Singer 911 be put through its paces and listen to what Chris has to say about it then jump to about 8:30 in the video for road driving and 21:20 for track driving. We’re of the opinion that Singer will eventually be held in the same regard as RUF (if it’s not already). They are a premier builder and take the best of everything Porsche has ever offered and build it into a brilliantly fast and agile package. Of great interest to us was learning of Singer’s plans to possibly start selling parts and packages for those of us that want to modify our cars but don’t have deep enough pockets to afford a complete Singer Porsche.
