Like every Porsche, the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S is at home on the racetrack. But while the car’s occupants enjoy a luxurious and stylish leather interior, the Cayenne Turbo S can also navigate the roughest off-road terrain – from 45 degree hill descents to steep and uneven side-slopes that would thwart any ordinary off-roader. To illustrate, watch as Gordon Robertson drives the Porsche on the handling and off-road circuits at the Porsche Experience Centre Silverstone.

My wife and I had the pleasure of picking up our Cayenne at the Porsche factory and test facility in Leipzig. The test driver took a comparably equipped Cayenne around the test track and on the off-road course, which is a former Russian and East German tank training area. We can attest to the fantastic climbing and controlled ascent capabilities, as well as the incredible lateral stability. When the car is over on its side at the 40 degree angle, it is literally possible to reach out the window and touch the grass. We also got to experience all the different road surfaces and "high water" capabilities.
If you are ordering a new Cayenne, we highly recommend the factory delivery option for a fantastic experience.
Jim,
Sounds like a great time/trip. We were able to experience it off-road on the course at Barber. We agree that it's something everyone should try for themselves. The factory delivery option sounds like the best way to do it! And pictures?
