Porsche pulls the cover off of a very special Panamera Platinum

Porsche offers a ton of special edition models of its normal lineup. I’m talking about more than just GT3s and GTS models. Now you can add a new one to the list with this Panamera Platinum Edition sedan. Available for the Panamera 4 and Panamera 4 E-Hybrid models, the Platinum Edition adds a few special luxury features at a surprisingly attractive price point.

Porsche bundled together a slew of high-request options into this package. The car comes standard with adaptive air suspension and PASM. Then Porsche adds dimming rear view mirrors, LED headlights with PDLS Plus, panoramic roof, and park assist. You’ll also get special platinum silver painted 21-inch wheels, black tailpipes, tinted windows, exterior trim in high gloss black, and special tail lights. The fender vents on a Platinum Edition will be, fittingly, painted in platinum as well as the Porsche logo and model designations.

Inside the car you’ll get a GT Sports steering wheel and Power Steering Plus as standard. To aid in the car’s comfort, you get lane change assist, soft-close doors, 14-way adjustable comfort seats, heated seats all around, BOSE premium audio, brushed aluminum interior accents, and Porsche crests added to the headrests. All four door sill guards are adorned with the Platinum Edition logo in brushed aluminum, which is nice. And the finishing touch is a standard analog clock in the dashboard. So lux!

While the Platinum Edition is only available as a traditional sedan in this country, you can get it in long wheelbase Executive sedan over in China, and as a Sport Turismo in Europe.

The Platinum Edition will officially unveil at the LA Auto Show this week in California. The 325 hp Panamera Platinum Edition will start at an MSRP of $101,900. The Panamera 4 Platinum Edition, which adds all-wheel drive, will start at an MSRP of $106,000, and finally, the Platinum 4 E-Hybrid Platinum Edition will start at an MSRP of $115,200. All prices exclude the $1,350 delivery, processing and handling fee. Panamera Platinum Edition models are expected to reach U.S. dealers as of Spring 2022.
