Someone Got a Hell of a Deal! This “Built From eBay” Porsche Sold Super Cheap.

At the beginning of August we told you about the online competition that challenged four garages to buy a vehicle on eBay Motors and then modify it into a purpose built customized car using only part they found on eBay. If it’s not abundantly clear, this competition was obviously sponsored by, wait for it, eBay.

One of the teams (Team European Autocar) was made up of a crew from GSR Autosports in Lake Forest, CA. They chose to turn a ’84 Porsche 911 into a Rally/Street car. Watch the video below to see the final product and just what they accomplished (this time the video starts immediately with the Porsche so no need to wait or fast forward ahead). If you can’t see the video below simply click on Built from eBay Rally Porsche Sold to watch it directly on PorschePurist.

As part of the competition, each team was to auction their completed car on eBay with the proceeds going to charity. This particular Porsche was auctioned last week on eBay and the winner gets to bring home this highly modified off-road machine for the amazingly low price of just $33,700. Given the fact that the team put 8 weeks into this build and thousands of dollars in parts, someone just bought themselves one hello of a Porsche. The winner will be announced later at SEMA and all proceeds will be donated to the SEMA Cares Charity.
