If you drive a Taycan, a 918, or an e-hybrid Porsche, you want to be at Autopia 2099 this weekend!

By now you’ve probably picked up that here at FlatSixes we are extremely excited about the future of electrified Porsche tech. Whether battery electric or hybrid or hydrogen or whatever, we’re totally onboard, and that’s why we’re working together with a crew of awesome individuals to bring the next generation of car culture into the here and now. We worked with a great team for a very successful launch of our electrified automotive festival called Autopia 2099 back in December of last year, and now it’s time for another one! In case you missed out on it, the whole idea here is that we’re optimistic about the future, and there’s no better way to celebrate that than with a car show. A car show celebrating the future, a brighter and better future. Autopia 2099 is that show. A shining beacon on the hill to light our way forward into a more optimistic future.

One of the first cars to ever carry the Porsche name on its engineering design was electric. It just took a bit of time, and a whole lot of technological advancement, for Porsche to build a mainstream sports sedan that was ready for daily transportation as well as weekend canyon runs. The company has proved time and time again that electricity can be used to either augment or replace gasoline internal combustion. Not only has Porsche experimented with hybrid and battery electric race cars with the 911 GT3 R Hybrid, the 919 Hybrid LMP1, and the current 99X Electric Formula E racer, but the company has been putting electrified performance in dealer showrooms for over a decade since the launch of the Cayenne S Hybrid in 2010. The pinnacle of hybrid hypercar performance came just a couple years later in the form of the 918! These days you can order up a Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid that will do 0-60 in under 3 seconds, or a Taycan Turbo S that will do it in around 2 seconds.

This isn’t going to be a “normal” car show. There’s no golf course or parking lot, and you don’t have to wear a suit or a giant hat to get in. All electric and hybrid cars are invited, in fact the event is presented by Nissan, but we at FlatSixes want to see a ton of Porsches entered! Whether you have a delivery-mile 918 hypercar or you EV-swapped your old 914, you’re welcome at Autopia 2099. We’re all friends here in the future!
