Jerry Seinfeld Drives a “Dead Guy’s” ’73 911 RS Through NYC with Seth Meyers

We first introduced you to Jerry Seinfeld’s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee last year before its premier on Youtube and Crackle.com. We loved the idea then and we love it even more now. The episode below is #5 of Season 2 and it starts out with Jerry talking about the 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS and what makes it so special. Watch as he picks up Saturday Night Live’s Seth Meyers. Admittedly it’s not all about the Porsche, but it’s funny and worth the watch.

  • The Dodge Daytona and Plymouth Superbird were well ahead of the RS in the aerodynamic department and the coefficient of drag was .28 as well!
I guess you could say they had the 917 covered too as Porsche were completely lost at the beginning. Ask Brian Redman or Vic Elford.

  • The RS was not the 1st STREET car to use aerodynamic aids. Chrysler had that covered with the Plymouth Superbird and Dodge Daytona before Porsche had figured out how to make the 917 work!

  • If Jerry wanted to take me out for coffee I would want him to drive me in this car. Seth did not appreciate the RS.
