Magnus Walker’s Opus On The 6th Street Bridge

Back in January Magnus Walker used his social media presence to call together a gathering of enthusiast to commemorate the closing of LA’s iconic 6th street bridge. Fortunately for us, Frazer Spowart (of eGarage fame) was there to share the night with Magnus and he took the time to provide a first person account of what it was like to attend. Many of you wrote in saying how much you enjoyed our crowd sourced pictures and Frazer’s story about the impromptu event. Well, earlier this week, Magnus published the video below on his newly developed YouTube channel. In it, he waxes poetic about the bridge that meant so much to him and his neighborhood. More importantly, you get to see video of the event itself, the car culture of LA, and the power of Magnus and his evolving social media empire.

Here’s what Magnus had to say about the video, “The 6th street bridge has always been one of my favorite Los Angeles icons. Featured in countless movies and just yards from my downtown Los Angeles warehouse, it has been the proving ground for all of my cars. Due to a case of “concrete cancer”, demolition of the bridge began in February in order to replace it with a modern structure. Naturally, it deserved a farewell party.
