Rennsport Reunion IV Pictures from Friday

While the preparation work on Thursday to get all these Porsches ready (before the show opened to the public) involved a lot of people, things were relatively quiet compared to Friday once the gates opened. The crowds grew quickly and finding angles to take shots from unrestricted is getting harder and harder. Especially consider that there were :

  • More than 300 Porsche race cars were on display and running on the track as practice for the eight vintage racing classes commenced.
  • 50 drivers sitting for the autograph sessions, and more than 400 people going through the line. Four more sessions are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.
  • and the 2012 Porsche 911 (type 991) made its debut.

Fortunately, a number of the car owners allowed us access to their collections away from prying eyes. Those pictures will come in a separate article or two once there is a little time for post production work. For now, enjoy these unedited photos below from Friday at Rennsport and get ready for lots of action photos starting later today and tomorrow. As with yesterday’s pictures, if you want to see our pictures the interface works much better on our site than it does in your email. Simply visit Pictures from Rennsport Reunion IV to see for yourself. Additional pictures and info can be found on our Facebook page and via Twitter.
