Ride On-Board A Le Mans Winning Porsche 935 K3 With Leh Keen

Introduced in 1976, the Porsche 935 was the factory racing version of the Porsche 930 Turbo. Over the next few years, Porsche would update the 935 through various versions, culmination with the 935 Evolutions. However, because Porsche didn’t initially offer to sell this version to privateers, it left teams, like Kremer, no other choice to begin developing their own updates. What resulted was the Kremer Type 1 (other wise known as the K1), the K2, the K3 seen in this video, and finally, the K4.

Of the four Kremer models, the K3 performed the best winning the ’79 Le Mans 24 Hours outright by beating all comers in both the GT and Prototype classes. In the video above, you can see just what it takes to man handle this Porsche around the track as Leh Keen qualifies fastest in his class during Rennsport Reunion V.
