Getting out to the Monterey peninsula for car week in August should be on the bucket list for most Porsche enthusiast. The Porsche specific events are plentiful and the historic racing is something that must be seen to be appreciated. However, we realize that for a lot of people getting to the event just isn’t going to happen, whatever the reason. That’s why we were so excited to learn that Fox Sports 1 is going to broadcast a one-hour special all about America’s premier historic car race.
The program chronicles participants in the 15 race groups over four action-packed days of racing. Stories will touch upon the human facet of why these precious works of art are placed into competition where race winners are not rewarded. The show will be broadcast on Saturday, October 11 at 10 a.m. ET on FOX Sports 1.
