T.J.’s interest in photography started before he was 11 years old and long before he owned a decent camera. Hanging out with his mother and grandfather, both professional photographers, at American Le Mans Series races fueled his passion for Porsche photography. Named photographer-at-large for his middle school in 2011, T.J., currently a freshman at Lakeside High School in Atlanta, has already won a 2012-2013 county-wide photography contest. In addition to photography, T.J. is an RC airplane enthusiast and at 14 is an Academy of Model Aeronautics licensed instructor with the Stone Mountain RC Flyers Club.
He comes by his knowledge of Porsches naturally. He is the son of Lynn and Tom Kessler, owners of a 1974 911 Carrera, and the grandson of Betty Jo and Leonard Turner who for more than 40 years were the moving forces behind Porsche Panorama magazine.
This was T.J.’s fourth Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance. He served as a junior judge in 2011. Clicking any image below will bring up a “light box” allowing you to scroll easily through the album.
