Porsche Inspired Coffee Shop Opens In Scottsdale

Nico Samaras started collecting Porsches at 16. Today, 11-years later, his love for Porsche has only grown stronger. So strong that he and girlfriend Mia decided to start a Porsche themed coffee shop in Old Town Scottsdale named FourTillFour.

Located at 7105 East First Avenue, the intimate space is a reflection of Nico’s love of air-cooled Porsches, Steve McQueen and the lifesytle that surrounds the brand. Nico told us he paid $6500 for his first Porsche and it came in boxes. After he and his dad put it back together, he was hooked and continued to buy other Porsches during high-school.

After joining the Marine Corps at 18 Nico made it a point to buy a 356 whenever he returned from a deployment, owning a ’58 Coupe a ’62 Coupe and a ’62 Convertible along the way (he still has both ’62s). Nico and Mia fell in love with the coffee scene while living and San Francisco and wanted to bring their favorite craft coffee, Four Barrel, to Scottsdale. A city Nico calls “an amazing car city”.

We asked Nico the significance of his shop’s name, FourTillFour. He told us it came from the vanity plate (4till4) on the ’58 356 he sold to finance the new shop. Get it? Four till four is another way of saying the time, 3:56. Or, in this instance, the type number of his favorite Porsche.

Besides coffee, Nico and Mia host a Porsche meet up (literally cars and coffee if you will) the first Saturday of every month at the shop. If you’re in the area go check it out and let us know what it’s like. I’m sure you’ll see Nico and his 356s parked near by.
