The more I research and write for this blog the more I enjoy what the internet has to offer. You can find so much good content if you only look in the right places.
The following four-part video series is a documentary on RUF. For those of you who are new to Porsche, RUF is one of the top three Porsche builders today and some may say the best! The video series is long, but it’s worth every minute. The vintage footage, the race scenes, the cars, the sounds, even the narration and commentary from Alois Ruf, all combine into a fine film. I didn’t even notice that I had invested almost 30 minutes into watching. Watch part of it, or watch all of it, but be sure to watch it. All four of the videos have some great driving and racing scenes, but the second one is by far my favorite.

I just finished the RUF series of videos. Like you I was trapped. Wonderful stuff and brought back memories of my visit to RUF 10 years ago.
Love your blog.

David, good evening. I can not agree more . . . I just finished the series as well and literally couldn't move off my seat till the end of the 4th video. It is very apparent the Ruf passion compliments Porsche's philosophy and passion perfectly. Hopefully Jean and I will be able to visit both factories before too long.
Take care, Dan
Hi all,
please note the word "tuner" translates badly into German. RUF is not a tuner .. he is a builder. It might be subtle to us, in English, but I was made to understand the difference. RUF buys "white body" Porsche chassis and BUILDS on this. He does not buy a Porsche and TUNE it.
Very subtle ... but due the respect.
regards
David
David,
Valid point and very true. Appreciate the comments and insight and happy to see you're still reading!
Ruf builds real enthusiast cars. These are extreme engineered machines built for one thing and it's not to impress you with a pretty face or the latest baubles.
