It was just last week that we brought you the wonderful video of Ken Sirlin and his Porsche 356. At that point we expressed how happy we were to see these kind of personalized videos becoming more and more prevalent. Imagine our surprise when we found another video produced in similar style.
Aldus Von Der Burg is a car enthusiast who fell in love with Porsche at the age of 15 after seeing an early 911 Carrera RS on the side of the road. As he says, "It's a memory that stuck with me, all my life; subconsciously; telling me get a 911, get a 911." Today, Aldus is a Mercedes technician (that explains the Mercedes shirt he's wearing) and someone with an idea for a new "hypercar". The timeless design of the Porsche 911 is a big part of his inspiration for this project and what's really being promoted in the video below.
While we would love it if he would pronounce Porsche correctly and don't necessarily agree with his assessment of the Porsche 911 naming nomenclature, it doesn't take away from the fact that we like these videos from passionate Porsche owners and hope to see more of them in the future. Details on the "hypercar" project are scarce but you can check out Aldus's website to see what's there. If you're having trouble viewing the video, simply visit the original post at Timeless: A Short Documentary Film about the Porsche 911 to view it on our site.
