Depending on where you live in the U.S. many of us don’t have the opportunities to traverse high altitude mountain roads. Sure, there are plenty in parts of California and across the Rockies. Even a few in the south and here in the North East, but nothing like the opportunities that abound in the Swiss Alps. The drive in this video is along the Bernina Pass. While technically considered a “high mountain pass” at 2328 meters it’s only about half the height of the road to the top of Pikes Peak. The biggest difference is that it’s actually a “pass” or a connection between two points. In this instance, the Bernina Pass connects the Swiss resort town of St. Moritz with the Italian town of Tirano in Valtenllina.
The video you see above is a decent, along the southern side of the pass, coming down into Italy. The car in question is a Porsche Cayman GTS that appears to be properly equipped for such mountainous driving with its PCCB brakes. The best part beyond the incredible curves and scenery, at least in my opinion, is the fact that the video isn’t accompanied by anything other than the sonorous sounds of the stock sports exhaust note.

I have one of these. You don't really need the carbon ceramic brakes even on steep mountain roads, especially with the 6-speed manual, as you can downshift and engine brake.
I'd love to take mine up and down Pikes Peak and Mt. Evans in Colorado.
