Rennsport Reunion V at Laguna Seca was easily the best Porsche event we’ve ever been to. The weekend was an absolute blur of color, shapes, and noise. Our attention span was practically nil, as we were constantly wrenched away from one amazing thing to look at some other more amazing thing just a few feet away. At one point, we found ourselves standing within 5 feet of four different Gulf Wyer 917s, and there were dozens of four-cam powered cars in sight. The great thing about photography is that it slows down a high-speed event like that and pauses time in that snapshot. Weeks after the racing is done, and the engines are shut off, and a quiet settles over the race track, you can look back at the photos to see what you’ve missed. This becomes all the more dramatic when the color is pulled out of the photograph, and set to calming piano music. That’s exactly what we’ve done with this video. Take a few minutes from your day to check out the beauty of Rennsport Reunion. We hope you enjoy it [Editor’s Note: The beauty of this video, in my opinion, is the work that went into synching the pictures to the piano music. Excellently done.]

Leaving out the amazing engine sounds was as bad as leaving out the gorgeous livery.
Well, since the video is comprised of still photographs, the engine sounds would have been a bit difficult to capture.
I enjoy the black & white approach - really changes the feel of the event after viewing so many color pics and videos of it - good job!! (Different "Chuck") ;-)
